For business owners and marketers, video is such a powerful tool as it gives your business a voice and a personality.
It allows you to connect with an audience in an extremely impactful way that other forms of content can't compete with. This is because video often uses multiple forms of media together such as moving images, audio and text rather than only using one.
By bringing different forms of media together under one video you are able to connect with a much wider range of people.

Long Form Videos
When developing a video strategy for a business, I will first examine what content is already on the website. This is because the point of conversion for the business is usually either a lead form or a purchase on the business's website.
It's important to look at these areas first as we need to ensure that the website is correctly optimised with videos before we use resources to send more traffic to our website.
These videos usually follow the structure of:
1) A business overview video (DNA video)
2) Category Page videos
3) Product page videos
Because they are hosted on the website of the business we can also assume that the audience viewing the videos are more engaged as they are already on the website. This means that the videos are usually around 1-3 minutes and contain more information than short-form social media videos.
Short Form Videos.
Short-form videos have all the advantages of long-form videos however they are a lot smaller in length and often appear on social media platforms.
In order to make these videos stand out and better engage with audiences we use hooks to stop people from passing by the video and copy trends to make them more relatable.
